Hans F. Sennholz

Hans F. Sennholz (1922–2007) was a German-American economist who studied at the University of Marburg and earned his doctorate at the University of Cologne before becoming Ludwig von Mises’s first American Ph.D. student at New York University in 1955. He taught at Grove City College in Pennsylvania from 1956 to 1992 and served as president of the Foundation for Economic Education from 1992 to 1997. He translated many of Mises’s writings into English and, through his books and lectures, helped spread Austrian monetary theory in the United States and to American Protestant audiences.
