Obama: “China is rising and it’s not going away. They’re neither our enemy nor our friend. They’re competitors.”

As we have learned, China is not a threat or a competitor.⁴²¹ It is an economic partner no less than a co-worker is. This assertion applies to the people and the economy, not to China’s politicians, who will naturally want to be at odds with our own politicians. And as we also learned, Obama will likely turn China into an enemy who must be dealt with in the name of security and patriotism.
