0:00The essence of Austrian economics is that it's based on, in contrast to all other schools, including alleged free market schools of economics. The Austrian economics is based on an analysis of individual action, in other words, individuals doing things, having purposes and goals and pursuing them. This immediately sets us apart because all the other schools of economics deal with aggregates, groups, classes, hoes, one sort or another, without focusing on the individual first and building up from there.
